Information for Authors: Kentaro Miura created his first comic series in 1976. This series, called 'Miuranger', appeared in about 40 volumes. From 1979 to 1985, he studied at an artistic grammar school. At the same time, he began to work for a fanzine. After his studies, he drew the award-winning Futatabi. He then briefly drew for Shounen Magazine, but his collaboration limited itself to NOA. From 1985 to 1989, Miura hardly drew comics, with an exception of 'Berserk Prototype' in 1988 but was an assistant to MORIKAWA Jyoji. He returned to the scene in 1989, working for Animal House with King of Wolves and had OKAMURA Yoshiyuki as the author. From 1989 Miura took on Berserk again. Passed away on 6th May 2021 due to acute aortic dissection. (source) Miura provided the design for the Vocaloid Kamui Gakupo, whose voice is taken from the Japanese singer and actor Gackt. He owns Studio Gaga. KUJI Mitsuhisa was his assistant. WAZARAI Shizuya was a high-school friend. MORI Kouji and UMINO Chica became narrative consultants for Berserk over time as stated in Challenging the Manga Dojos.
